The Ultimate Kitchen Cleaning Checklist

A step-by-step checklist to deep clean every corner of your kitchen — from stovetop to floor.

The kitchen is the heart of every home — and often the hardest room to keep clean. Grease splatters, food spills, and daily use can quickly turn a tidy kitchen into a greasy mess. Here's a professional-grade checklist to get your kitchen sparkling.

Countertops and surfaces. Clear everything off your counters. Spray with an all-purpose cleaner and wipe down thoroughly. Don't forget the backsplash — grease loves to hide there.

Stovetop and oven. Remove burner grates and soak them in hot soapy water. Spray the stovetop with degreaser and let it sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing. For the oven, use a dedicated oven cleaner or a baking soda paste left overnight.

Refrigerator. Take everything out. Toss expired items. Wipe down each shelf and drawer with warm water and baking soda. Clean the exterior, especially the handles — they collect more bacteria than you'd think.

Sink and faucet. Scrub the sink with baking soda and rinse with white vinegar for a natural deep clean. Polish the faucet with a microfiber cloth. Don't forget to clean the drain — pour boiling water mixed with baking soda down it weekly.

Cabinets and drawers. Wipe the exterior of all cabinets, paying attention to handles and edges where grease accumulates. Once a season, empty them out and wipe the interior too.

Floor. Sweep first to catch crumbs and debris, then mop with a suitable floor cleaner. Pay special attention to corners and under the fridge and stove where dust bunnies hide.

Doing this deep kitchen clean once a month — or booking it with OLA MOP — keeps your cooking space hygienic and pleasant to use.
